Spinal tumors
(tumor spinalis)
The classification of spinal tumors is quite complicated. To put it simply, we can differentiate tumors within the spinal canal and tumors localized in the vertebrae. Most of the tumors located in the spinal canal can be moved out with a precise, exhaustive and well prepared operation, while the majority of the ones noticed in the vertebrae are metastasis tumors, which in many cases cannot be treated by surgery. Because of the high variety of appearance, all cases need to be discussed individually with a specialist .
